BTS took a trip down memory lane in the first episode of BTS Radio: past and present on Apple Music 1.
The K-pop superstars kicked off the weekly limited series on Saturday, May 28 with an hour-long show that gave listeners a look at some of the septet’s early recordings dating back to 2013.
“We wanted to use this radio show to celebrate nine years of BTS with you and our ARMYs all over the world,” RM said when announcing the three-part series. “Each episode is dedicated to you,” the singer continued. “We wanted to share BTS songs that help tell our story.”
During Saturday’s inaugural episode, the South Korean group discussed songs such as “Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life”, “Epilogue: Young Forever”, “I Need U”, “No More Dream” and “We Are Bulletproof, Pt. 2.”
BTS Radio: past and present airs weekly ahead of the Grammy-nominated band’s next anthology album, Evidencewhich is scheduled for release on June 10. Episodes will be available on demand to Apple Music subscribers.

Jung Kook on “I Need You”
“This song is special to us in so many ways. The Scrapbook The most beautiful moment of life I think it’s just a great album, and “I Need You” earned us our very first No. 1 win on a Korean music show. I think at the time we felt like we were finally noticed, finally on the verge of success.
Suga and Jimin on “No More Dream”
Suga: “The reason I chose ‘No More Dream’ is because it’s our first song, and looking back now, it’s the type of song we could only have done in the past. ‘era.”
Jimin: “I agree with Suga. For the same reason, it was our first song, and I think it’s the first song where we really express our emotions and our message clearly.
Jin on “NO” and “Danger”
“I chose ‘NO’ and ‘Danger’ because those are the songs that best represent the tough times we had. Our members struggled back then.
j-hope, V & Jung Kook on “We Are Bulletproof, Pt. 2”
j-hope: “Like the title of the song, I think it shows the ambitious spirit we had when we debuted. I just wanted to listen to it again.
V: “I chose this song because it’s so fun to listen to.”
Jung Kook: “I chose this song because it really represents our group’s identity and I think we really put everything we had into this song.”
