Ice Nine Kills releases “Funeral Derangements” music video inspired by Stephen King horror classic “Pet Sematary”

Slashercore outfit NEW ICE KILLS released the fourth and final new track from their upcoming album “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood” before its release on Friday, October 15 via Intrepid Records. Today’s offer in evidence is entitled “Funeral disturbances” and is inspired by Stephen king horror classic “Semester for pets”. The backing clip features a horror icon Bill Mosley (“The devil’s rejections”, “House of 1000 corpses”), a stunning cameo from Miko Hugues, the actor of the original 1989 “Semester for pets”, a cameo of Josh katz of BAD FLOWER representing the living dead Victor pascow and James a janisse and Chelsea rebecca, creators of the very popular Dead meat “Kill the account” Youtube series.

NEW ICE KILLS leader and creative driving force Spencer charnas states: “In perhaps the most ironic cameo in recent horror memory, we harnessed the incredible Miko Hugues (Gauge from the original ‘Pet Sematary’) to play the role of the reckless truck driver. An 18 wheeler, a crooked cat, a scalpel and an evil graveyard all come together in what I would call our most ambitious tribute yet. To dig…”

“Funeral disturbances” follows the release of previous singles “Rainy day”, “Assault and batteries” and “Hip to be afraid”, of which the latter paid tribute to the Bret Easton Ellis classic “American psyche”. The three tracks combined have already recorded 15.7 million streams with 3.6 million Youtube views.

No matter how many advancements in cinematography, practical effects, or CGI, there’s only one scene in the 1989 adaptation of Stephen king‘s “Semester for pets” almost unmatched in its shocking character, and things only unwind for the characters from there. The story involves a graveyard capable of resuscitating the dead, although the pet versions (like Church, the family cat from the movie) and the returning people are terribly malicious. John feldmann co-wrote the track, lending a BAD RELIGIONanthemic style vibe. Bass player Joe occhiuti spent time on the tour bus working on jarring noises to match some of the spooky animals from the movie. It also contains some of the best lyrics from Charnas, including “It all started with a skid on the sidewalk / it now ends in funeral disturbances / the flesh is alive, but souls are spoiled / the wrath of God rests under the ground.”

A sequel of franchise proportions to Billboard’s No.1 album Hard Rock “The Silver Cry”, “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood” double in pursuit of the group’s cinematic muse anthem.

Decadent, sly and fiercely mad, with a sardonic spirit to spare, NEW ICE KILLS celebrating the darkest edges of pop culture, extracting the value of a schlock cinephile library of iconic b-series and horror films on “Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2” and its prequel, “The Silver Cry”.

“Welcome to Horrorwood” pays a fresh and bloody homage to the VHS celluloid classics that possessed Charnas at an early age, with a new devilish twist. Drew coot (IMMOBILE IN WHITE, DANCE GAVIN DANCE, POP EVIL) product “The Silver Cry” and returned for “Welcome to Horrorwood”. Album guests include Jacoby Shaddix (PAPA GARDON), George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher (CANNIBAL BODY), Brandon saller (ATREYU), Ryan kirby (Fit for a king) and Friend Nielsen (FAILURE OF THE SENSES). The album mixes the melodies, riffs and spirit that are the band’s signature, as we hear in the Top 10 Mainstream Rock single. “A serious mistake” and Top 20 “Savages”.

Dan Sugarman (guitar), Ricky armellino (guitar), Patrick galante (battery) and Joe occhuiti (bass) are the current co-conspirators behind Charnas, who founded the group as a teenager in the early 2000s. Decadent, devious and fiercely insane, NEW ICE KILLS celebrating the darker edges of pop culture, harnessing the value of an iconic horror cinephile library on “The Silver Cry” and “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood”. The creative marriage of music and fiction started in earnest with the Top 5 Hard Rock album “Every turn of the book”, which took the themes of the previous three discs to new levels.

The synergy of the band’s music and lifestyle draws favorable comparisons with NOOSE and ROB ZOMBIE. Visionary pioneers and multimedia storytellers, NEW ICE KILLS builds an exciting world for a growing legion of dedicated true believers, with theatrical performances, top-notch videos, and inventive group-to-fan fellowship. Their wildly creative output saw them become the recent recipients of the prestigious Clio price for music marketing for their “Happy Ax-mas” mobile game and their live streaming event from October 2020, “The silver stream” be nominated for five awards at the Hound Horror Film Festival Award in the “Judges’ Choice”, “Best Sound”, “Best Supporting Performance”, “Best Cinematography” and “Best Feature” categories. With over 1.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, 410 million careers to date, a combined social media reach of over 950,000 and over 73 million views on Youtube, the band is firmly established as one of the most vicious forces in modern metal.
